Welcome To My WSOP 2k7 Blog, Let Me Introduce Myself...

My name is Orthopak. I play on most of the US. poker room sites (Pokerstars, Ultimate Bet, Mansion Poker & Full Tilt Poker). I've been playing poker since 2004, but started to really study the game in 2005. I've read numerous poker books (Click here to see every book I've read) and watch anything poker related on tv (Yes, I believe you can learn alot from tv). I am a certified poker dealer and I'm currently looking for a job as a dealer. I hope more time at the table will only improve my play and my reading abilities.

I don't consider myself a winning player yet, not even a break even player. What I hope this blog will do is to help me critique myself on a daily basis and realize this is a marathon, not a sprint. Last year, I tried freerolling my way into the 2006 WSOP, but I was unsuccessful. I do not have alot of money to back me, so this will be a long, daily grind at the $5NL and $6 SNGs. As of Jan 1, 2007, I had $3.88 in my Pokerstars account. I am also saving 5% of my paychecks to build a bankroll. As of today, I've managed to raise my $3.88 to $53. If I go broke with this amount, I will use my poker savings to back me. I will now be posting my end of day bankroll and which games I played.

My goal is to play in at least ONE WSOP 2k7 event, limit or no limit. I work full time and I'm a single parent so I can't dedicate as much time to poker as I would like. This is more of a personal journal to keep myself in check and to see if it's possible to get to the WSOP with such a little bankroll. Hope you enjoy and see you at the tables.
